Re: Whitby update - local knowledge / advice please
Scarborough BC are not quite as anti-motorhome as they used to be. Motorhome parking is permitted on Marine Drive, North Bay and they have even now installed a free-to-use CDP point (think there may also be fresh water there). Parking is free until 1 March, at which point each space occupied needs t...

Re: Gainsborough
Fantastic Sandie - well done. Now you have contact details, would you mind sending them info of letting motorhomes park overnight? We have a briefing document for councils in the business hub, and the recent information from Fleetwood showing they received nearly £26k in income in 2022 from motorhom...

Just for info, I will at some point (no date set yet) be attending an R&C council meeting following meetings with one of the local councillors who is very supportive. Will update.

Re: Marinas, Canals, Waterways
Bantry aire is expensive, given that the same facilities are available at the Westport Hotel just up the road, which is €10 a night (though no EHU). Bantry did reduce their charge after lots of complaints. Another great Irish one is the Hub at Graiguemananagh. (Barrow Valley Activities Hub). This is...

Re: Camping Car Park list
Brora There is what appears to be a perfect site for an Aire subject to an approach. The Brora Heritage Centre has a huge level car park/hard standing and grass area with waste bins. It is only a 1km from centre of the village. The centre has toilets and I would have thought the addition of a drink...

Re: Ripon
Hi I'm having a meeting with a woman from the Ripon BID team on Monday 19th. It sounds very informal. She' says she has found the info on this site helpful and doesn't need anything else at this stage. She would just like a walk round Ripon to look at potential sites. I'm happy to do that. Hi. I’m ...

Wow that's fantastic news. We've already booked tickets for 2023 Practice Week, though I suppose it will either be suspended or rammed then!
Well done - let us know how it goes.
